Both, you choose. With stamps, the customer gets a stamp with every purchase and a reward when the card is full (e.g. 10 coffees, 1 free). With points, the customer earns 1 to 5 points for every euro spent on the bill total (2 by default) and gets a discount from 100 points: each point is worth €0.05. Each venue runs one programme at a time: you choose it when you sign up and can switch in Settings when no customer holds active stamps or points.

The customer chooses how many points to use (multiples of 100) and shows a code: you validate it in the app and apply the discount. Points expire after 12 months with no activity at your restaurant.

It's a real, independent loyalty app: it doesn't depend on Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and isn't a pass you add to your phone. Customers use the free Tavolo Plus app for iOS and Android: they scan the QR, see all their cards and rewards, and find venues nearby. The venue uses the partner app to show the QR, validate rewards and see statistics, together with the web dashboard. In Manual mode (the default) staff tap “Generate QR code” and get a single-use QR valid for 60 seconds, one per customer; in Automatic mode the QR changes every 10 seconds. This makes stamps very hard to copy.
